KCA Training - Maintaining Resilience when working with Toxic Stress: Reflective Practice as a tool to support resilient leaders and classroom practitioners 30th Apr 2025
Wednesday, 30 April 2025
Tower Hamlets Virtual School and KCA are delighted to welcome you to join them on this Attachment Aware Trauma Informed Schools Learning Journey.
Open to participants who have already completed training on Relational ways of promoting learning and Trauma Informed Practice and those new to this knowledge base, this learning journey has been designed to meet the needs of those working with vulnerable learners in Tower Hamlets’ schools including Designated Teachers. SENCOs, Safeguarding Leads and those in Pastoral Roles.
Aware of the demands on teaching staff, each input has been designed to work both as part of a wider sequence of learning or as a stand-alone input meaning either one practitioner can attend the whole learning journey, or each element can be attended by a different person working in your school. When you register to take part in this training you are registering on behalf of your school. Please ensure that someone can attend each event (which have been fully funded by the virtual school) and share the zoom link accordingly. Together with the live web tutorials participants will be given access to six 10-minute interactive video presentations, each involving a summary of the neuroscientific knowledge base and a reflective question for staff discussion. These video clips can be used to cascade the learning across your wider staff community. All sessions will be online 4-5.30pm.
The sessions will be led by Catherine Gordon for KCA. Catherine is an experienced school leader with extensive experience in pastoral leadership and translating the latest neuroscience into practical action for practitioners and leaders.
